About the Role

What the Candidate Will Do

1. Design and implement features of a high-performance streaming platform, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
2. Develop and implement state-of-the-art streaming platform, enhancing quality, reliability and performance.
3. Optimize existing streaming infrastructure for efficiency, latency, and freshness.
4. Provide technical support for platform customers.

Basic Qualifications

1. BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience in infra/platform and large-scale distribute system design and .
2. Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Java, Go, C/C++. Good scripting skills and ability to pick up new ones.
3. Systematic problem solving approach and knowledge of algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Under the hood experience with Flink, Kafka, Storm, Samza and other Streaming technologies is a strong plus
2. Experience with highly available/fault tolerant, replicated data storage systems, large scale data processing systems or enterprise/ storage systems is also a strong plus
3. Understanding of distributed system fundamentals and having experiences of building and managing distributed systems.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$185,000 per year - USD$205,500 per year.
