Procurement Analyst for IT and Marketing Buying Activities
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the BUs and leadership to understand strategic direction, demand requirements and business objectives and priorities.
- Drive thought leadership in the category providing market and industry intelligence, trends, innovation and best practices.
- Drive analysis of category spend to identify opportunities to reduce total category spend utilizing all savings levers. Develop business cases to substantiate opportunities and prioritization.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies and plans.
- Develop supplier negotiation strategies that reflect and maximize PayPal’s buying power, focus on service quality/performance, and minimize risk exposure.
- Assist BUs manage in-category strategic supplier relationships.
- Interact with all levels of management, including senior management, and stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Accounting, and suppliers to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are achieved.
- Ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with internal business partners while earning their trust
Qualifications
- Bachelor´s Degree needed; degree in in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred
- 2-5 years of experience with Sourcing/Procurement
- Analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions
- Conceptual thinking skills with adeptness to lead others through ambiguous and/or complex issues
- Experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groups
- Negotiation skills as well as contract review / analysis experience
- Ability to build consensus and act as an independent arbiter
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a global organization is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay tool(s), Ariba is a plus
- Knowledge and prior usage of Business Intelligence tools

The US national annual pay range for this role is $62,000 to $102,300
