The function is made up of around 2,000 professionals, working across the Executive and Regions in the following areas of specialism: Brand; Marketing; PR/Media Relations & External Communications; Internal Communications & Employee Engagement; Corporate communications.

Your key responsibilities

Success in the role depends upon practical experience of changing external brand perceptions through an event and experience-based strategy, the ability to navigate complex stakeholder management, creating linkage and connections to other parts of the business and inspiring a core team through leadership, relationships and clear direction.

  • Assist with the design and delivery of the event as the lynchpin and main point of co-ordination between all the various workstreams involved in the delivery of their allocated events
  • Create a consistent brand experience through all facets of the events. Ensures brand sign off processes are adhered to across the whole event
  • Mentor junior personnel on the strategic events and experiences team to ensure consistent and leading-edge brand experience by capturing and deploying best practices as necessary
  • Manage and drive forward the design and delivery of event related technology including complex and detailed registration sites and event apps and work closely with the event technology team
  • Form part of multi-functional core teams to deliver events with a culture of high-performance teaming, and achieving market impact by managing the work-plan, timeline and budget of all elements of the programme
  • Work closely with Legal, Procurement and Independence to ensure compliance for all events
  • Seek connections across all of BMC to bring the best of EY to life (including Sector, service lines, regions, and other BMC programs such as World Entrepreneur of the Year, International Tax Conference, Young Tax Professional of the Year, as well as industry/third party, sponsorship events
  • Provide onsite support to manage various external vendors and agencies to ensure consistent delivery for their own events and supporting their colleagues

Skills and attributes for success

  • A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
  • Strategic brand, marketing and communications expertise, including global event design and delivery experience, including third party event management and consultation eg: non-proprietary, sponsored events
  • Ability to work in a high pace, agile environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple stakeholders, time zones and priorities effectively
  • Ability to navigate through change and manage ambiguity including cultural awareness

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience in a cross-border role, successfully managing multiple complex event projects at a global level
  • Experience of working on large high profile industry events and sponsorships such as the World Economic Forum, Sapphire, COP and Mobile World Congress
  • Considerable experience of delivering brand, marketing and communications projects in global organizations
  • Experience managing diverse teams
  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Experience of delivering multiple events on a global basis
  • Experience of leading under pressure
  • Ability to be able to travel

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $99,300 to $185,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $119,100 to $210,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
