Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer in DSI, you will:- Build data processing systems on AWS technologies (e.g., S3, EC2, EMR) and Apache Spark to process petabytes of data.
- Apply MLOps principles to facilitate rapid scientific innovation and experimentation.- Learn about the science of causal inference and lead the implementation of new concepts in production.
A day in the life- We prioritize work-life balance and our long-term design commitments have led us to have minimal operational maintenance required, with 90%+ oncall work expected during our business hours.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 1+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
- 1+ years of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics techniques experience

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
