Manager: Statutory Reporting - The role requires demonstrated ability in preparation of financial statements, managing statutory reporting engagements and understanding of financial reporting tools.

Manager Statutory reporting will play a critical role in leading statutory reporting process across engagements and deployment of financial reporting tool/ERP for our global statutory reporting process.

• Strong technical expertise around US GAAP/IFRS and other accounting frameworks, experience in financial reporting, GAAP conversion experience, understanding of Statutory reporting ERP.
• Provide advice and guidance as a subject matter expert (SME) for design & implementation of financial & statutory reporting.
• Detailed review of FS preparation design, accounts, schedules, and workings to testify the quality of deliverables, and assist in effectively implementing the internal review mechanism for implementation of the tool.
• Manage tool testing in collaboration with the technology development & global statutory reporting team.
• Coordinate the global corporate accounting process and/ or statutory reporting compliance for EY Local teams.
• Liaise with the EY Local teams on the reporting processes and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Execute and lead multiple project work streams, including opportunity identification, ideation, stakeholder communication, technology vendor management and delivery.
• Own and maintain reporting dashboards to demonstrate progress of activities and status quo of multi country engagements.
• Manage engagement risk, project economics, manage escalations and ensure effective planning and budgeting.
• Identifying problems in the process or output and provide effective solutions.
• Willingness to challenge status quo and desire to implement process improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls and quality improvisation.
• Promote teamwork and maintain effective team dynamics.
• Develop and maintain a diverse set of business relationships during project engagements.
• Effective work & capacity planning to support project deliverables.

• Hands on experience in any of the financial reporting tools like Workiva, CaseWare,Thomson Reuters accounts production.
• Technical competence in financial & statutory reporting, ERP implementation.
• Brings in diverse cohort of client handling, consulting & industry experience.
• Data oriented and ability to deal with imperfect data/ambiguity.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, aspirational, and result oriented.

• Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CPA/CA) with atleast 7-15 years of experience. (is this not to experienced? )
• In depth knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP/Other accounting framework is essential.

• Strong knowledge across spectrum of finance processes.
• Business & client centric approach.

• Experience in global team environment.
• Proven track record of working with leaders across geographies and managing the deliverables with high quality in a dynamic and matrix organisation.
• Outlook towards increasing the productivity and resource utilization, and ability to effectively implement the process change with acuity & alacrity.
