As a member of the PM team, the successful candidate will actively engage with Development and QA teams to clarify requirements and help prioritize tasks effectively to enhance product integrations and drive business growth. The PM will be an active member of the R&D team, defining functional specifications, breaking down feature requests, work closely with sales teams and managing timelines & deliverables, and bringing new features/products to market.
The ideal candidate should be able to work seamlessly with multiple business units like R&D, Sales, Product Marketing, Finance and multiple cross functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• To work closely with sales engineers and customers to identify requirements
• To capture priority issues from technical and support teams and follow up with respective teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with the product development team to define and deliver product requirements.
• Prioritize development activities to ensure product requirements are captured and execution matches expectations.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive analysis and setting product direction
• Work closely with product marketing to help direct marketing positioning and messaging
Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in the network security solutions space, and a solid understanding of the networking & security concepts.
• Knowledge of configuring and implementing technical security solutions (ATPs, Firewalls, WAFs etc.).
• Hands-on experience rather than theoretical knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle a plus
• Highly effective cross-functional team management.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with working with sales engineers and customers
• Motivated and Self Learning abilities.
• Excellent analytical and bigger picture problem-identifying/solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.
• Flexibility and Versatility – the position requires dealing with a wide range of technologies, interfaces, and multiple teams in a highly dynamic hypergrowth environment.
Education:
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an
equivalent experience
