Job Purpose:
- Design of power system for facilities including water, sewerage, drainage, irrigation and firefighting system
- Design of Dry utilities (Power and Telecom) for infrastructure projects.
Preparation of Single line diagrams, Cable route layouts, dry utilities and street lighting layouts, Earthing calculation and layouts, Load schedules,
Job Responsibility:
- Design of Dry utilities (Power and Telecom) for infrastructure projects. (HV / MV – Water utility or big utilities – Bridge – Tunnel – Rail – City – Water utility )
- Perform power distribution system design including high-medium-low voltage substation, electrical utilities and facilities design, adjustable/variable speed controllers design from low to high HP machines
Leading design of Electrical system deliverables and calculations including Single line diagrams, Cable route layouts, dry utilities and street lighting layouts, Earthing calculation and layouts, Load schedules, Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies
- Preparing design calculations and drawings, technical reports and presentations, tender documentation and specification
- Assisting with the evaluation of tender documents and material submittals.
- Manage other engineers and designers and helping to mentor graduate engineers
- Monitoring and reporting progress against time and budget
- Compliance with design and QA procedures
- Site visit for data collection and verification
- You may also be asked to provide on-site assistance during commissioning.

- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree related to Electrical Engineering (verifiable).
- Have 8-12 years design experience, with minimum of 8 years design experience in the GCC preferably KSA in professional electrical engineering, particularly in the water / wastewater and infrastructure industry, for some of the following: design, calculation, reporting, site supervision / inspection; [experience with engineering firms serving as an intern may count toward this]
- Be chartered from a recognized institute, or be a member who’s working on becoming chartered
- Demonstrate good understanding for design workflow using BIM, particularly Revit
- Should have very good verbal and written communication skills in English, which are essential for Client, Interdisciplinary and Vendor coordination, and coordination with other work-share offices
- General knowledge, as a minimum, of industry practices and standards which are in use in the Middle East as applicable to electrical engineering
- Experience on Authorities liason and NOC approval process (DEWA, SEWA, FEWA,)
- Demonstrate experience with industry calculation tools, such as ETAP, Amtech, Dialux, AGI
- Develop oneself and enhance the technical expertise of company staff through appropriate training and development
- Periodic travel to offices within MENAI region may be required
