As a Control Manager Associate within the Risk Reporting & Middle Office and Chief Data Office teams, you will work in partnership with stakeholders to promote, influence, and maintain a strong control environment
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with execution of the Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation framework through participation in process analysis to assess the business’ risk and control environment, identify control and/or data quality issues and understand their root causes, and review actions taken to remediate issues.
- Verify controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Perform ongoing analysis of risk and control program related data to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess the impact of new or updated internal policies/standards/procedures, and technology solutions to understand changes to processes and verify compliance with evolving control requirements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the control environment including preparing presentations and/or reports.
- Be encouraged to think creatively, drive innovation, challenge the status quo, and deliver enhancements across a multitude of strategic objectives impacting the Risk Management and Compliance organization.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in any field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Control Management, Audit, Data Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Legal, or a related field
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels, across multiple locations
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including influencing and presentation skills, with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Capable to multi-task and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
- Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly and work independently
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Knowledge of Tableau or Alteryx.
- Knowledge of SOX and Compliance.
