The Senior Engineer – Stamping will be responsible for managing stamping press operations, ensuring quality and productivity targets are achieved, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in stamping processes, die maintenance, and press operations, along with the ability to lead shift-level teams

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Operations:
  • Operate and monitor stamping and forging machines to meet daily production targets.
  • Handle cold forging and high-speed stamping operations with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage metal coil feeding systems and ensure smooth material flow.
  • Assist in die setting, tool changes, and mould tool handling for housing components.

• Tooling & Maintenance Support:
  • Assist in maintaining stamping dies, forging tools, and moulds.
  • Coordinate in process inspection and escalate deviations to the quality team.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and dies.

• Quality & Process Control:
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure product quality as per specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and escalate deviations to the quality team.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.

• Continuous Improvement:
  • Contribute to 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Suggest improvement in process efficiency, safety, and quality.

• Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain shift-wise production logs, downtime records, and quality checklists.
  • Support documentation for audits and customer requirements.

Our requirements:

• Graduate from B.E./B. Tech in mechanical / Production/ Metallurgy engineering.
• With 8 – 10 years of experience in stamping and forging operations, preferably in automotive or precision engineering sectors.
• Technical Skills
  • Cold forging and high -speed stamping expertise.
  • Metal coil handling and press line operations
  • Die Setting, Moud tool maintenance, and housing component production.
  • Knowledge of press machines, forging hammers, and hydraulic presses.
• Knowledge in IATF 16949, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen.
