Additionally, in this role you’ll:
- Perform conceptual and detailed designs for diverse Industries such as specialty chemicals, hydrogen, or batteries
- Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems
- Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully-coordinated projects
- Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
- Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others
- Mentor junior engineers on basic engineering applications and principals
- Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive demonstrated history of professional experience in the design of Piping systems.
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of Piping systems.
- Although this is a hybrid work environment your home location will need to be in the Carolinas or Georgia for access to client job site locations.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contributing with innovative ideas
- Work independently for core tasks and reach out for specialized expertise
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel
- Professional engineering license.
- Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Caesar II.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.
