ABOUT THE ROLE
You will travel to customer sites in the Charlotte, NC area, and occasionally work out of the corporate office in Charlotte.
Project Coordination & Management
- Oversee system installation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical contractors to align system integration efforts.
- Manage equipment deliveries, storage, and proper on-site installation.
- Coordinate with engineers and design teams to ensure the system meets project requirements.
- Maintain documentation, including change requests, work orders, and project reports.
Customer Support & Training
- Conduct system demonstrations and functional training sessions for customers.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, resolving issues efficiently.
- Assist sales teams with site surveys, system recommendations, and upgrade opportunities.
System Installation & Commissioning
- Install, configure, and test automation, security, and fire protection systems.
- Perform system startups, functional testing, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Integrate and communicate with third-party systems using various industry protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.).
MUST HAVE
- Must have one of the following:
- North Carolina Building Contractors License OR
- NASCLA Commercial Building Contractors License
- PLUS: NC Business & Law Exam
- 5+ years of experience in system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or project management in building automation, fire protection, or security systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the service area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Experience managing projects up to $200K.
- Niagara Tridium Certification.
