DESCRIPTION

* Lead and mentor a diverse team of software engineers and clinical experts.
* Implement mechanisms for smooth integrations of classical as well as GenAI models, whether they be 1P or 3P; be on Bedrock and Sagemaker, be self-hosted or managed-hosting.
* Tackle ethical and responsible AI head-on, ensuring your teams’ creations go from ideas to applied production applications.
You will:* Define and implement the technical strategy for HealthAI services and assistants.
* Design and oversee the development of robust, scalable architectures for AI systems.
* Establish and maintain operational excellence for HealthAI services. Drive continuous improvement in service reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* Collaborate with Scientists, Product Managers, UX designers, Clinicians and stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap and deliver on the roadmap
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure AI solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory standards. Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of AI services in AWS HealthAI while being in alignment with AWS best practices, compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR etc)
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technologies. Along with Scientists, contribute to the broader AI and healthcare community through publications and presentations,
Qualifications:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Strong background in AI and machine learning, particularly in healthcare applications.
* Extensive experience with building and operating cloud services (AWS-preferred) and cloud-based architectures.
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical software products or services.
* Excellent understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
* Experience with healthcare data, regulations, and industry standards is highly desirable.
* Passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes and patient experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
