What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the general accounting team which includes writer accounting, fixed asset reporting and tax compliance.

  • Manager of 3 FTE providing review on month-end journal entries, monthly account recs and delegating responsibilities as necessary.

  • Oversee completion of monthly account reconciliations and works to resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.

  • Coordinates with Sony’s global tax teams to provide necessary financial information and reporting for the completion of corporate returns and other compliance filings.

  • Provides oversight of MIS spend tracking to budget and coordinating with IT on module in-service dates.

  • Prepares year-end writer schedules for roster review by senior management.

  • Ensures controls are consistently maintained in accordance with SOX compliance.

  • Creates clear and concise summarized reporting for senior management.

Who You Are:

  • 5 or more years of experience in accounting.

  • Public accounting experience a plus.

  • B.S. degree in accounting or related financial field.

  • CPA is encouraged.

  • A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details.

  • Strong communicator with presentation skills to engage, inspire and influence.

  • Proven leader who understands how to effectively delegate.

  • Self-motivator who can work independently.

  • Responsible and accountable individual who takes pride in team achievements.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
