The role of ‘Senior/ Principal Power System Engineer’ in our ‘Future Power Systems’ team is one of the components of a growth strategy to position Jacobs to meet the requirements of energy transition activities within the Europe and Middle East (EMEA) region. As part of our team, you’ll be providing a range of services throughout the Power System study projects. This includes Power System modelling, feasibility studies, Grid Code compliance studies, Grid Interconnection/impact studies, Insulation Coordination Studies, technical reports, technical bid preparation, attend the customer meetings etc.

As this is a Senior/Principal role, you will also be required to lead the technical discipline at the senior level, delivering innovative solutions that provide superior value to our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all the study activities (i.e. support in the technical bid, modelling, performing the simulations & results analysis, reports, client meetings & presentation, technical discussions etc.)
  • Work closely with the Team members across the globe in multiple power system studies for transmission, distribution, renewables, and industrial systems.
  • Power system studies including, but not limited to short circuit calculations, load flow, protection coordination, harmonic analyses, electromagnetic transients, dynamic studies etc.
  • Work with different customers TSO’s, DNO’s and renewable developers across the globe
  • Work on several low carbon initiatives like EV, BESS, renewables etc. solutions towards the net zero.
