Reporting to the Automation Manager, the Automation Engineer-Mechanical role involves…
What a typical day looks like:
• Lead and coordinate BU/Automation vendor to implement Suzhou site nonstandard automation projects and track progress.
• Responsible for non-standard automation evaluation, mechanical design, solution research.
• Automation projectmanagement(opportunitycapture/feasibility evaluation/ risk assessment/ proposal review/ specification define/ machine buy-off).
• Collaborate with internal automation team, BU production team and outside vendors to develop automation projects.
• Existing automation equipment troubleshooting/ upgrade and integration.
• Good automation projects inhouse duplicate and sister site yokoten.
• Complete other tasks assigned by automation manager or engineering director.
• Bachelor for Mechanical design engineering or Automation design engineering, at least 5years relevant work experience.
• Be skillful in AutoCAD, Creo or Solidworks or UG etc. , create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of automated systems.
• Able to design automation projects independently, able to withstand pressure and willing to try new technologies.
• Rich non-standard automation mechanical design experience of electronic manufacturing factory, for example: glue dispensing, screw fastening, labeling, testing, packing, load/unload and integration automation line.
• Be familiar with standard module, includes electrical, pneumatic, motion, hydraulic devices.
• Capable of designing mechanical components and systems such as gears, linkages, conveyors, actuators, and fixtures used in automation.
• Familiar with sheet metal/machining part design, understand material characteristic and fabrication process.
• Experience with plastic molding, diecasting process.
