This role is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and conducting analyses on a global and portfolio basis pertaining to unsecured portfolio oversight, governance and associated processes. The role also helps coordinate and prepare materials for review by riskseniors, regulators and the Citi Board of Directors. It entails a significant amount of process comparison and practice evaluation across Global Retail Businesses and will be a primary resource for a number of ongoing and planned projects. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining various policy-related processes while designing and implementing incremental processes as needed to monitor adherence to Retail Credit Risk Policy (RCR). He/she will also have responsibility for, or participate in, program, process or product reviews to identify best practices and/or policy gaps. Finally, the candidate will assist in revising RCR as needed as part of assigned strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee or collaborateon special projects, ad hoc analyses, senior reporting and regulatory requests asrequired with a strong analytic focus.
- Work with other teams within Global Retail Credit Risk Management to enhance oversight tools andprocesses.
- Liaise with Enterprise Risk Managementteams and other business lines and functions.
- Work with groups throughout theUS Personal Bankto provide effective challenge of proposednew initiatives,strategy changes and new product programs as required.
- PerformIndependent Risk policy-driven processes as asked (e.g.,Global Significant Credit Change and Credit Test limit monitoring, Balanced Scorecard reviews, etc.).
- Provide oversight and guidance to in-business risk teams regarding RCR.
- Prepare gap and/or impact analyses related to policy and regulatory
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in retail credit risk management, preferably with multiple retail lending products andfunctions across the full consumer credit life cycle.
- Strong analytic skillsrequired. Candidates with knowledge of Tableau and other Business Intelligence platforms are preferred.
- Familiarity with Citi systems (e.g., Pearl, Genesis, Retail Optima) and Retail Credit Risk Policy are strong plusses.
- Ability to digest and synthesize disparate data and prioritize and driveresults.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with short deadlines and little supervision or direction – must be self- motivated and eager to engage.
- Strong verbal and written communication, risk and financial analysis, problem solving, and decision-makingskills.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership with a strong workethic.
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred. Ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, finance, mathematics,engineering).
