Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
• Familiar with Principals of High Speed Signal Design including transmission lines, controlled impedance and EMI/EMC
• Familiar with interfaces such as LPDDR, MIPI, USB, PCIe, UFS
• Experience with Programming Languages such as Python and/or Vbasic.
• Team Player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Applies Hardware Application knowledge and experience to provide technical expertise of hardware through trainings, product demonstrations, and the design, debug, test, and quality support of customer products that are based on Qualcomm chips.
• Collaborates with teams and customer personnel in assessing potential application of company products, preparing product specifications, disseminating technical information on hardware areas, and/or troubleshooting issues regarding hardware tools and products.
• Guides customers through the process of using tools and/or platforms.
• Provides timely and accurate answers to customer inquiries.
• Writes detailed technical documentation for Hardware Application projects.
Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions.
• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
