Description
- Oversee reliability testing including mechanical stress tests, shock/drop/vibration testing, environmental testing- Develop new reliability tests procedures and specification - Prepare concise and detailed test plans and analyzing test reports- Statistically analyze data to provide design risk assessments - Research new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms- Guide design and interacting with diverse groups to improve product reliability
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering field and 3+ years of experience in a related field/industry or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity of how technologies work
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at once
  • Dynamic engineer with a proactive attitude and desire to work closely with domestic and international cross-functional teams
  • Statistical experience such as Weibull, JMP, or familiarity with accelerated test models
  • Familiar with Failure Analysis techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-ray/CT, Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, etc.), and the ability to use failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure
  • Consumer electronics experience is preferred, but not necessary
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
