Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the negotiation, drafting, and modification of a diverse range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Letters of Intent (LOIs), Share Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, complex Shareholder Agreements and more.
- Provide essential support in matters related to acquisitions, sale of businesses and corporate reorganizations.
- Commit to learning transaction-related financial and accounting concepts.
Qualifications
- A solid foundation of 3 to 5 years of experience in business law, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in corporate law with a focus on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in business law, including contract negotiation and drafting.
- The ability to remain composed and effective under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and organizational capabilities.
- A self-motivated and resourceful approach to work, capable of independent operation.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating clear and effective interaction with team members and clients alike.
- Fluent writing abilities in both English and French, ensuring clear and concise communication across all documents and correspondences.
- A proactive, creative mindset, with a capacity for rapid learning and adaptation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams, enabling efficient and effective document creation and team collaboration.
- This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally where fluency in French and English is required. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.
