Software Engineering Managers at ART19 strike a balance between their progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibilities. You will be a subject matter expert in an ART19 product and technical domain, and lead teams that deliver on multiple projects in an ambiguous or high-impact area. You will work within a team of cross-functional engineers, product managers and designers, constructing the end-to-end features to enhance best-in-class tools for podcast creators. You will find yourself reviewing code, participating in technical designs, and measuring the impact of your team while setting clear expectations and goals.--Work/Life Harmony--

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- 3+ years experience developing scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Experience using GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and experience using Terraform to define, provision and manage infrastructure.
