• Conduct Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing, encompassing internal pre-qualification and providing guidance to external test labs.
• Drive product design for compliance with EMC standard IEC 61326-1, along with associated standards like CISPR 11 and IEC 61000-4-x.
• Align and coordinate global approval engineering activities on a worldwide scale.
• Ensure product adherence to LVD, Wireless standards (e.g., FCC Part 15), and various global wireless regulations such as the RED Directive and IC.
• Translate new product and customer requirements into comprehensive test requirements.
• Prepare EMC Test Plans/Procedures/Reports.
• Guide other functional departments to comply with approval agency requirements.
• Participate in the Change Control Board, assessing any consequences of product changes.
• Provide support to Sales offices in obtaining local or customer-requested approvals.
• Participate in external agency and regulatory audits.
• Maintain existing certifications by monitoring changes in external regulations that may necessitate modifications to certifications.
• Maintain product certifications throughout the product lifecycle and foster positive relationships with regulatory and approval bodies.
• Play a vital role in multidisciplinary New Product Development activities, acting as a liaison between the design team and the approval body, ensuring compliance during the specification phase.
• Understand circuit schematics and possess knowledge of Industrial and Marine levels of EMI/EMC.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC standards, including CE, KCC, RMC, and maintaining Declarations of Conformity for the business.
