Jacobs is looking for a talented Urban Planner to join our Buildings and Infrastructure team in Dubai, Knowledge of design is acknowledged and valued but this is not an urban design/architecture position. You will be given the opportunity to learn and work on Urban Planning and Policy component for masterplan projects. In addition, you will also meet the following requirements:
- Assist in writing Current Assessment multi-sectoral reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop urban planning and design solutions
- Apply sustainable urban planning principles to promote environmentally responsible and resilient urban development
- Prepare client presentations and content
- Good knowledge of data collection and research capabilities and ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to understand land use, context, concept and detailed maps
- Experience in stakeholder coordination and policy development and governance is a plus
- Understanding of planning the MENA region especially in the UAE
- Teamwork and collaboration within a team/dedication to meet client deadlines
- You will be a UAE national with a relevant qualification in Urban Planning from a recognized institute
- You will have hands-on experience working on urban planning and delivery of notable projects in regional/global contexts
