What you will accomplish:

  • Lead portfolio of programs and work with key stakeholders across all the functional areas, such as product, engineering, business, and operations teams to drive desired outcome for the initiatives & the ebay.
  • Lead planning & execution efforts on your assigned initiatives & portfolios. Facilitate cross domain and cross functional requirement reviews, dependency identification, and estimation of effort for your assigned areas.
  • Create Initiatives & Roadmaps based on the outcome of planning and get commitments from Initiative & Domain owners. Maintain the current status and executional risks associated with the delivery of the roadmap.
  • Establish operational structure and processes for execution and tracking of the committed programs and facilitate the necessary cadences so team hits the goals
  • Learn the standard operating procedures at ebay as well as current lifecycle, and guide your team through the compliance as well as through change management as required
  • Ensure the data quality of the information on artifacts we track is up to high standards, work with respective stakeholders to improve the quality and fill the gap.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively, at all levels. Regularly collect status updates, maintain risk registers, and actions items. Compile clear exec summary weekly.
  • Analyze, understand and surface insights to the key stakeholders to take next steps based on your program's metrics and competitive landscape. Ensure actions are taken.
  • Conduct periodic retrospective with various stakeholders to evaluate current process and areas of opportunities. Work with right owners on the tools & processes to bring improvements.
  • Facilitate escalations and trade-offs to bring consensus across business, product & engineering partners.
  • Collaborate with other Program managers across company as well as teams to ensure the continuous alignment across teams in the highly matrixed organization

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Management, Engineering, or other similar fields, with 5 to 8 years of project management experience within Program/Product/Engineering/Business Ops organizations.
  • Experience working in an end to end, cross functional environment with engineering, design, product, ops, and program management counterparts to deliver products/services
  • Consistent track record of leading large-scale projects in a product environment from conception through completion
  • Ability to take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances, under little or no supervision
  • Strong communication skills and proven track record of Clear and concise communication, documentation and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with teams composed of both technical and non-technical members. Prioritize contending priorities without loss of efficiency or visibility.
  • Handle multiple partners at various levels in the organization and work with them all equally, proactively and openly.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodology; proficient in Jira, Airtable, Confluence, Office & Google Suite, project planning & tracking tools. Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable with writing necessary queries in jira, airtable, and other internal tools to get desired data, build trackers, templates, and dashboards to make data entry and presentation simple and effective.
  • Driven, intellectually curious, pays attention to details, quick study who will learn the business quickly, proactive problem solver who will actively engage in thoughtful debate, and constantly finding opportunities for improvements.
  • Believe in lead with an example mindset, don’t give up easily on tough problems, and challenge the status quo to raise the bar higher for fellow Tech Program Managers to inspire from.
