Review bid documents to determine the scope of work
Perform material take-offs from 2D drawings or REVIT models to validate design and contractor proposed quantities
Calculate and prepare material and work item quantities based on project requirements and specifications
Develop cost estimates ranging from concept to definite estimates
Conduct bid reviews and track estimate performance and accuracy
Support the development of estimating processes and templates, identifying risks and driving the contingency development process
Estimate the cost impact of changes in design and construction strategy during project execution, and lead ad-hoc cost studies for rapid decision-making support
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability
3-7 years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, and high-tech industries
Strong understanding of costing methodologies across various disciplines
Comprehensive knowledge of cost estimating processes, Work Breakdown Structure, and Project coding
Analytical capability to assess cost and schedule variances against the plan
Proficiency in software systems including Oracle Unifier, P6, Power BI, Bluebeam, CAD, REVIT, and other construction packages
Ability to direct external cost estimating resources, work in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with tight timelines, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, along with effective customer service skills
