As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and development of a world class Manufacturing team
  • Supporting a positive, safety-first culture
  • Ensure daily production schedules are attained and troubleshoot any challenges that arise
  • Develop manpower plan and interview and hire candidates to staff team to plan​
  • Apply Lean principles to create robust processes that ensure the following:​​​​efficient assembly process of existing and new products with developed standard work as appropriate,maintain and improve quality standards, improve safety and ergonomics as well as meeting all 3M safety standards,tiered accountability structure,5S, organization and cleanliness standards,


Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Two (2) years of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of relevant 3M Fall Protection processes and software
  • Experience with manufacturing production reporting systems
  • Experience leading and/or participating on SixSigma projects or Lean Manufacturing activities
  • Diverse experience with manufacturing technology and operations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact on a broad basis (external/internal customers, employees, and plant leadership)
  • Influence skills to support positive change acceptance within the work team
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles- value stream, waste elimination, 5S, poke-yoke
