As a senior technical leader, you will:•lead teams of machine learning and software engineers to research, build and deliver AItechnologies that enable AI-driven customer-facing products and features.•work cross-functionally on a diverse set of exciting problems, collaborate with world-class software and machine learning engineers and researchers to impact the future ofApple products.•lead research portfolio, help identify long-term ambitious research goals as well asintermediate milestones, prioritize research that can be applied to Apple’s productdevelopment.•build and grow inclusive, high-functioning, diverse teams.
- • 10+ years of combined management and professional experience in machine learning, research, and software engineering, and a proven record in running an applied research organization with product impacts
- • Strong organizational skills and experience working with large cross-functional and diverse teams
- • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- • Experience in scientific computing, high-performance computing, applied machine learning, or deep learning
- • Strong in computer science fundamentals, software engineering principles and development methodologies
- • Experience with incubation, development and deployment of machine learning technologies into products
- • Ability to take ambiguous ideas from inception to deployment
- • Experience with setting and executing innovation strategies at both technical and organizational levels to drive research directions and business objectives.
- • MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
