Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization.

who is a full stack developer to to help us build the next generation solution for enterprise content distribution and discovery. ​​We are part of the Enterprise team in Power BI that delivers the primary means of distributing content on Power BI service. We achieve this by providing a simplified experience over the complex backend systems that power the system.​ Coding skills with sound technical background and good communication skills are key attributes for success in this role.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Typescript, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ Years of Experience designing and running cloud service applications, distributed systems and microservices.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Web Development experience including React/Angular/TypeScript/JavaScript/HTML5
  • C# and .NET development (or other OO based language such as Java)
  • RESTful API design & implementation
  • Relational DB technologies including SQL, Oracle or other RDBMS
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP Cloud Services
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar BI/Data Analytics platforms

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
