ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.
Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database
Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.
Provide Technical training and certification for junior technician.
Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.
REQUIRED:
Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
Working experience in manufacturing environment (especially in vacuum chamber system) is required.
Working experiences in Sputtering or machine maintenance related field would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control) would be an added advantage.
Knowledge in using measurement tools such as multi meters, oscilloscope, etc.
Knowledge in study schematic diagram (circuit diagram) working on system troubleshooting.
Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair.
Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook) & Forum Notes
Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Production, Process, Yield, and Quality.
SKILLS:
Junior/Senior Level Equip Maintenance Technician
Technical - Familiarity with sputtering equipment or other vacuum systems.
Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
Communication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.
Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Adaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
