Job responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Expertise in designing and developing Enterprise level J2EE applications.
• Expertise in Sprint-boot, Hibernate, Java 11/17, Oracle/Postgres/Mysql.
• Strong command over Unix and maven.
• Experience in building automation using REST APIs in Java/Python.
• Experience in designing and building secure Kafka platform at enterprise scale.
• Experience in designing & developing products/platforms on AWS.
• Experience with development and continuous deployment in an agile work environment using CI-CD tools like Jenkins.
• Able to solve complex problems using dynamically scalable infrastructure products based solutions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Cloud certifications are a bonus.
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge in Kafka Connect, KSQL and KStreams.
• Experience in monitoring and visualizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
• Working knowledge of networking - VPCs, Transit Gateways, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
• Experience in Python (Fast API) is an advantage.
