You will drive and implement new quality initiatives, establish new testing methods and processes for game testing, find ways to leverage and scale to deliver without compromising quality and efficiency, establish quality metrics and best practices for the team. You will lead the team by example as a quality leader who is customer obsessed, thinks big and delivers result without compromising the quality. To do this, you will have the most advanced tools at your disposal; however, we expect you to bring new ideas and innovation to build/leverage as needed. You will be responsible for looking to the future and identifying what the team will need to test experiences that were not thought possible today.Key job responsibilities
* Be obsessed with quality improvement and highly committed to building and retaining a solid QA / DA team, creating reliable testing strategy, automation for regression, feature and End-to-End testing.
* Work with product management and cross-functional teams to build and ship technical solutions for the best customer experiences
* Establish structures that enable your team to solve complex problems and deliver large systems
* Work successfully with customers, leaders, and other engineering teams. You foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues
* Provide hands-on technical leadership to the team, test plan reviews, and prioritization
* Advise senior and executive management on product quality
* Manage team priorities, headcount projections, recruiting, and continuous performance evaluations
A day in the life
As an Operations Manager, you will build and lead a diverse team of Device Associates / QATs to solve technical problems, develop and execute roadmap of test frameworks & infrastructure.You will be working with an assorted set of stakeholders, both internally at Amazon, and with some of our partners. You will influence the roadmap and technology decisions that will drive future products and features that directly affect our growth in this critical space. A successful candidate is a motivator and an experienced leader who can hire high-caliber engineers and collaborate across matrices organizations, with the ability to influence senior leadership.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
- Experience managing manual testers
- Experience managing automation testers
- Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
