EY Payroll Provident Funds - Senior Associate

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll for all employees across EY Pakistan entities.
  • Manage the payroll system, including the addition and deletion of staff, ensuring all changes are reflected accurately and timely.
  • Process loan and advance requests of staff in accordance with EY policies, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
  • Oversee the exit formalities for departing employees, including the processing of final settlements and ensuring all necessary accounting and finance documentation is completed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding income tax, SESSI, PESSI, EOBI, and professional tax.
  • Prepare and submit returns for SESSI, PESSI, and EOBI, ensuring timely compliance with government regulations.
  • Ensure the timely submission of tax and other statutory deductions to the government treasury
  • Handling the company’s Provident Fund, including the addition, deletion, and profit allocation for members.
  • Process loan applications, temporary withdrawals, and permanent withdrawal requests from Provident Fund members.
  • Handling the accounting system of provident funds including annual profit distribution to the members of funds.
  • Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate the external audit of the Provident Funds, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is prepared and available.
  • Facilitate the preparation and review of Provident Funds tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all relevant tax documentation.

Skills and attributes for success

Ideally, you’ll alsoProven experience in payroll processing and administration of retirement funds (Gratuity & Provident Fund).

  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external auditors. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
