Lead the provision of tax advisory services to clients on all aspects of joint venture and partnership tax matters, including acquisition, formation, operation, restructuring and disposition issues. Prepare and review detailed financial models to quantify the various transactional outcomes involved in a particular deal structure and/or industry segment. Assist with formal deliverables, develop financial models, research industry and company financial information and speak to findings. Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and strong technical partnership tax skills, and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Provide high-quality and 'time-sensitive' service to support clients' critical business needs. Build on technical competence by taking advantage of learning from nationally recognized tax professionals. Develop and guide junior tax professionals by providing effective feedback and training and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. Stay current with tax policies and implications and build your knowledge around research tools and resources.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, Statistics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, Statistics or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.Must have 4 years of tax experience in one or a combination of the following: a professional services firm; a mid-size/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm; or a large company with an internal tax function.Must have 4 years of experience with federal income taxation, including partnership taxation.Must have 4 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to review complex financial models and build flexible calculations from scratch.Must have 3 years of experience applying quantitative methods within accounting and corporate finance contexts.Must have 2 years of experience with modeling tax transactions and/or partnership tax compliance.Must have 2 years of experience developing team members and supervising teams of junior tax professionals.Must have 1 year of experience managing tax engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.Must have one of the following: CPA certification; member of a U.S State Bar; or an Enrolled Agent.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
