Senior Manager - Emerging Technologies Enablement (Hybrid)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful new technology that is transforming how we support associates and service customers. The AI development process relies on annotated data to train and evaluate machine learning models. The work to review and evaluate data and highlight or annotate data is a critical human contribution to the machine learning process.

Strategy

  • Provide strategic support and guidance for the ETE program, developing, communicating and executing on strategic priorities.

  • Collaborate with strategy partners to understand the AI landscape at Capital One and ensure strategic alignment with evolving needs.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner across the Data Science community to understand needs, share ETE strategy and advocate for solutions.

  • Provide frequent updates on ETE strategy, successes and opportunities to clients, stakeholders and senior leadership

Demand Management

  • Connect with clients to understand needs, offer solutions and assess high level readiness.

  • Manage backlog of demand to plan and align capacity to deliver on annotation needs.

  • Assess long term needs to develop and implement scaling strategy.

Operations Support

  • Partner with ETE operations leaders to shape program strategy, identify areas of opportunity and ensure operational success.

Process Management

  • Develop and support well-designed processes that provide consistent and repeatable quality outcomes for our clients.

  • Monitor end-to-end annotation processes to measure effectiveness, identify areas of opportunity and drive continuous improvement.

  • Oversee the annotation readiness and quality process, preparing use cases for implementation and executing on quality monitoring.

People Management

  • Manage and develop a team of leads and performers supporting the annotation readiness and quality process by providing performance coaching and development support.

Product Support

  • Partner with Product and Tech to ensure annotation processes are supported with well managed technology solutions that fulfill the business and functional needs of annotation delivery.

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office (Richmond, VA or McLean, VA) and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification

  • At least 3 years of experience leading or supporting a process or operations organization

  • At least 3 years of experience in people management

  • At least 3 years of experience in strategic planning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • At least 4 years of experience in people management

McLean, VA: $154,600 - $176,400 for Sr Manager, Process Management Richmond, VA: $140,600 - $160,400 for Sr Manager, Process ManagementThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
