As an HR Generalist, you will partner with and build relationships across the HR function to enable a One Microsoft approach to our employee experiences (ANZ focused role). We're looking for someone who enjoys working across the ecosystem to drive continuous improvement and program management. You will have strong partnership and collaboration skills to partner across the entire HR function. You will coach the leader and leadership team as needed. You will lead, manage, and drive clarity for geography/client governance committee and ensure we are maintaining a contemporary knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and emerging trends that may affect HR policies and execution of these.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Legal, Business, Psychology, or related fieldAND7+ years experience of HR work-related experience.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of applicable employment laws and relevant policies in ANZ region.
  • Willingness to take on the position at a contract of 1 year.
Responsibilities

The core of your role will have you:

  • Understanding data & insights to diagnose and/or identify opportunities or initiatives to enhance the experience of our employees in ANZ.
  • Taking people priorities and building out implementation plan for in-country initiatives or HR global priorities.
  • Taking ownership of specific priorities that map across the GEO from inception to execution.
  • Leading the partnership with our wellbeing team on the development of and execution of the GEO Wellbeing plan.
  • Play a pivotal role with the ANZ Leadership forum Community Management and support on content design and vendor management where needed.
  • As the key bridge with our OH&S teams, external counsel partners and our COEs (including C&B, talent acquisition, HR Consulting, HR Services, Immigration and talent management where needed).
  • Always looking to improve our HR Operating Model through diagnostics and listening systems from both the business and HR – continuous improvement (local pain points – specific pieces of work).

In addition:

  • You will lead and drive clarity for governance committees, as well as drive the leadership team’s Human Resources governance processes. You’ll also ensure up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and trends that may affect local Human Resources policies or programs in partnership with the Policy Lead for Asia.
  • You’ll be a key orchestrator across all HR teams to ensure local implementation of key programs or initiatives that are specific to ANZ requirements.
  • You will act as an employee advocate by implementing processes and looking at other measures to improve the lived experiences of employees. You’ll also ensure internal messaging is aligned, and lead and develop strategies to improve employee engagement.
  • Under minimal supervision, you will execute or lead projects, programs, and initiatives, in collaboration with COEs, and implementing solutions for specific talent groups where needed. You’ll also develop and carry out project plans, and identify and respond to any emerging requirements.
  • You will support the program management of the ANZ Work Health & Safety framework by partnering with our HR Consulting team and Global OH&S team to drive compliance across local policies and governance processes.
  • You will collaborate with our Global Wellness and Benefits team to design and implement programs to support the wellbeing of our employees.
  • You will partner with our Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leads to activate and drive the D&I strategy across ANZ. You will also identify and respond to any reporting or legal requirements including but not limited to WGEA reporting.
