Entry Level Engineering Analyst – Engineering Org, Tools & Process Optimizationin Austin Tx.
What a typical day looks like:
- Analyze the current structure of engineering teams across global sites, including roles, reporting lines, and functional interfaces.
- Assess and map engineering tools and platforms (e.g., simulation tools, PLM, source control, issue tracking) and identify gaps or redundancies.
- Document engineering workflows across product development, validation, release, and support.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in tools and processes.
- Support the CTO in strategic planning by preparing organizational models, benchmarking analyses, and visual reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, operations, IT, HR, and program management to align findings and implement changes.
- Help standardize toolsets and practices across teams to improve collaboration, speed, and quality.
- Support pilot initiatives that test new tools, organizational models, or process improvements.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Interest in engineering operations, org design, or technical process improvement.
- Working knowledge of engineering development cycles and cross-functional product teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear insights and recommendations.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences,
- Internship, co-op, or academic experience related to engineering operations, process design, or organizational analysis.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Altium, or PLM systems.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
