Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • DCIM Platform Management:

  • Manage and maintain our DCIM monitoring and observability platforms, ensuring they are up-to-date, reliable, and efficient.

  • Configure and customize the DCIM tools to meet specific business needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DCIM data into broader IT management systems.

  • Device Monitoring:

  • Monitor DC infrastructure devices (such as rPDU, UPS, Environmental sensors) across the enterprise.

  • Set up alerts and notifications for critical events.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device availability, performance, and health.

  • Scripting and Automation:

  • Utilize scripting languages to automate routine tasks.

  • Develop custom scripts for data collection, dashboarding, and reporting.

  • Improve operational efficiency through automation.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with local IT teams at sites across the US, APAC, and EMEA.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to ensure their devices are properly configured and maintained.

  • Foster strong relationships with site personnel to address their specific needs.

  • Firmware Management:

  • Keep track of device firmware versions.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

  • Perform regular firmware updates and patches.

  • Facilities Liaison:

  • Act as a bridge between IT and Facilities management.

  • Coordinate observability and device management efforts with Facilities teams.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing facility-related processes.

  • General:

  • Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.

  • Seeks out learning opportunities to increase own knowledge and skill within and outside of domain of expertise.

  • Anticipates complex issues and discusses within and outside of project team to maintain open communication and ensure efficient resolution.

  • Documents solutions and common processes.

  • Networks with colleagues within and outside of domain expertise to gain insight, ideas, and connections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.

5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DCIM platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric StruxureWare, Nlyte, etc.).

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Detail-oriented and proactive mindset.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Working under some supervision.

  • Making decisions that are moderate in impact: errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.

  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.

  • Most tasks require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.

  • Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.

  • Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.

Pay range:

$45.50 - $68.24
