Minimum 5 years of lead linguist or copy editor experience with extensive translation, review/editing, or localization experience, preferably at a localization department in a global technology company or a localization vendor.
Accredited fluency in Japanese. Near native level of fluency in English.
Exceptional program and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects with varying timelines.
Passion for customer experience and a keen eye for detail.
Experience with automating workflow processes.
Strong data analysis skills to create or assist with reporting needs.
Experience in linguistic QA, MT/LLM evaluation, or AI/ML quality programs.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization or dashboarding (e.g., Tableau).
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, AppleScript) is a plus.
Familiarity with content localization, translation workflows, or linguistic guidelines.
Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-evolving environment with cross-functional teams.
Experience with customer support or service operations in a global technology company is a plus.
Experience with MT, AI/ML, SEO, internationalization, software translation or natural language translation is a plus.
Experience translating and/or localizing Apple product content is a plus.
