Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Lead the Order Fulfillment Inbound & Customs function across SCM. Lead to assure efficient & optimized inbound operation with customs strategy and fulfill demand based on operational planning activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage team to achieve high performance by fostering a positive team environment, delegating effectively, objective setting, performance assessments, motivation and training / development.
  • Provide team clear direction, projects & targets relate to OF/Inbound & Customs area that are aligned with business needs & GOPS objectives.
  • Build stable supply system to fulfill customer demand and lead on-time availability (OTA) in Japan.
  • Lead to support inventory initiatives (i.e. ICM, ICS, STO) with optimizing Import & Export functions.
  • Lead to communicate inbound plan and react to internal requirement to optimize inventory and supporting Sales activities with managing complexities of import & customs areas and minimize impact on business operations.
  • Support open-to-buy (OTB) meeting with providing accurate Inbound Plan which reflects, Channels and Operation aligned activities, up-to-date inbound plan and DC’s capacity.
  • Lead transportation capabilities to provide the best transportation lead time with appropriate ship mode selection.
  • Initiate to establish system and maintain the flow & process for Japan Supply Chain Inbound & Customs operations with optimizing the cost (Inbound & Customs Business Process Owner role).
  • Lead to maximize duty savings opportunities for adidas Group Japan.
  • Leadaudit discussions with Customs officials to ensure that adidas Group Japan is operating in complying with regulations and guidelines with minimum impact on business operations.
  • Lead to communicate external parties (3PL) to ensure we are complying with global standards, local contracts and to ensure we are receiving the full benefits and support that we are expecting.
  • Lead to maintain duty, freight and other transportation cost within the budget.

  • Key interfaces (internal): SCM, Channel, Demand Planning, Marketing, Finance, IT, Global Customs and Global Logistics.
  • Key interfaces (external): 3PL (Warehouse & Custom Broker) and Forwarders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Worldwide SCM operation & theories
  • More than 5 years’ experience working in international diverse environment.
  • More than 5 years’ experience people management (having -1 layer preferrable)
  • International Trade administration include foreign exchange law.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree preferably focused on International Business Administration, Finance, SCM or Logistics related area.
