PayPal UK Ltd (PPUK) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Regulatory Relations program and team in the UK. You will provide leadership and judgment in enabling PayPal to cultivate positive regulatory relationships and related compliance framework. Consequently, enable PPUK’s business objectives. You will report to the UK Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and lead work across all UK and global leadership.
Job Description:

- Drive program management for all regulatory engagement processes, including the regulatory inquiry response and examination / inspection processes
- Develop and execute the regulatory engagement strategy for the UK across multiple regulators.
- Draft and oversee development of responses to regulatory inquiries
- Maintain best practices for supporting local regulatory engagements, including liaising with internal stakeholders and regulators through all phases of the process
- Serve as a credible business partner across functional units, providing advice and support as needed
- Engage critical stakeholders in problem solving issues with regulatory impact
- Draft and present committee and other governance materials related to regulatory engagement
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- Maintain a clear view of all regulatory priorities and strategic engagements
- Escalate internally and to the regulators, issues relating to regulatory topics
Ideally, you will have:

- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Adaptable in unexpected situations, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Knowledge of the financial services compliance and / or regulatory environment is required
- Excellent English required (verbal and written).
- Compliance experience in the financial services industry, with regulatory relations, financial services licensing and reporting experience, and/or regulatory examination / inspection management experience.
- Drive to learn and proactively build relationships
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7years of experience or equivalent
- Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- FCA Connect knowledge would be considered an advantage
