Job Summary:
As an Online Ads Applied Researcher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated algorithms that determine the best way to serve ads to users across various platforms. Your work will involve analyzing large datasets to understand user behavior, optimizing bidding strategies, and improving the relevance of ads displayed. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers, to create scalable and efficient ad-serving solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain algorithms for eBay ads systems.
• Utilize Generative AI and other ML modeling techniques to improve the performance of our ad delivery systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to seller interaction with ads.
• Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize existing algorithms for scalability, efficiency, and performance.
• Work closely with the engineering team to integrate algorithms into the production environment.

Qualifications:

• Good English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Passions & proven experience in AI and other algorithm development, machine learning, and data mining.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
• Experience with ad tech platforms, online advertising ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
