Job Summary

As a Defined Contribution Investment Solution - National Account Client Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with the leading national retirement aggregators. You will also deliver the full suite of J.P. Morgan resources to the clients such as leading Retirement and Market Insights, investment solutions and record keeping offerings (Retirement Link/Everyday 401(k)). You will work to maintain current and gain additional inclusion of JPM investment solutions in aggregator recommended lists, preferred record keeping placements and other proprietary arrangements. The role will require you to work closely with the DCIS Advisor CA team to achieve team objectives, coordinate key coverage and deepen enterprise relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with DCIS Client Advisors, Retirement sales management, Retirement Insights, product and marketing teams to deliver the full capabilities of JPMAM to the retirement aggregator firms
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business models, issues/trends and overall business landscape of retirement aggregator firms
  • Serve as a single point of contact for all aggregator stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Introduce new and existing solutions to retirement aggregator firms with the goal of creating sales opportunities and expanding J.P. Morgan’s breadth of business
  • Drive high meeting activity with aggregator firms
  • Share best practices and activities that can be leveraged amongst sales teams to advance key relationships
  • Remain knowledgeable on all relevant JPMAM investment and recordkeeping solutions; leverage JPM resources to strengthen relationships, generate opportunities and secure new mandates
  • Maintain and share an expertise in industry trends, product innovation and competitor capabilities
  • Create interest by telling the “JPM story” in a clear and compelling way, using the JPMorgan seven-step sales process
  • Work with the sales team to identify and progress business opportunities and sales leads
  • Generate ideas for thought leadership and aggregator events

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 10+ years in the Defined Contribution market, Institutional Investment Management sales, relationship management and client coverage
  • Expertise in record-keeping platforms, investments and Defined Contribution distribution
  • Thorough understanding of the competition, client and marketplace (technical expertise)
  • Proven track record of building relationships and generating new business mandates with retirement aggregator firms, national broker-dealers and record keeping platforms
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders at key client firms
  • Ability to drive sales results consistently
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Focus and desire to retain and increase the firm’s assets
  • Up to approximately 50% of travel time (within specified territory
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensing: Series 7; 63
  • Ability to position and differentiate J.P. Morgan products and processes against competitors, and to influence product development, pricing, positioning and competitor analysis
  • Ability to work effectively across and within complex and matrixed organizations
