In this role, you will leverage your technical skills to assess and mitigate risks associated with the deployment of machine learning models and AI systems. This includes performing risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing technical controls to safeguard against potential threats. You will work closely with engineering and data science teams to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into the development lifecycle of AI/ML products. One will need to manage multiple deliverables at the same time, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and clear communication. Your ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into actionable risk management plans will be crucial.
This role operates within a dynamic environment with changing conditions, and a core component of success is building relationships and influencing decision-makers with grounded information. You will need to stay updated on the latest technological advancements and regulatory requirements impacting AI/ML, ensuring that the company’s risk management strategies are robust and compliant.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute AI/ML risk office vision and deliver on enterprise and team objectives by working with the AI/ML risk team
Lead AI/ML Product and Tech teams to deliver on the identification and development of risks, issues, and/or mitigation plans to ensure the business implements needed changes and addresses areas of exposure.
Develop and help to deliver senior level risk management reporting and communications
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve strategic objectives
Coordinate program-related activities and deliverables to ensure effective collaboration within the team and across stakeholder groups
Continuously look for ways to improve and innovate in our approach to risk management.
Establish and maintain relationships with Enterprise Services process owners, process managers, and vertical risk advisors
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management
At least 3 years of experience supporting internal business clients
At least 3 years of experience in project, process, or program management
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Change or Process Management
Risk Certifications (i.e. CISM, CRISC, CISSP, etc.)
Business Process Management certification, Lean or Green Belt Certification
Strong communication skills with various stakeholders with proven ability to drive results
Understanding of appropriate controls to secure cloud-based services (SaaS) products
Knowledge of Machine Learning
Knowledge of Generative AI
