About the Role

- - - - What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Use data to understand competitors’ performance and to identify improvement opportunities.
2. Present findings to senior management to inform business decisions.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, and operations to drive competitor intelligence development.

- - - - Basic Qualifications ----

1. Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
2. Minimum 2 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent.
3. Experience in experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis
4. Experience with dashboard/data visualization toolings
5. Ability to use Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets.
6. Proficiency in SQL

- - - - Preferred Qualifications ----

1. 4+ years of industry experience as a data scientist or similar
2. Experience in competitive intelligence.
3. Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, and causal inference.
4. Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
5. To be highly detailed-oriented.
6. Excellent judgment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to translate data science findings into business strategy
8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
9. Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to execute decisions.
10. Ambition and enthusiasm to seek opportunities to build value.

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$136,000 per year - CAD$151,000 per year.
