Key job responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:- Build ML and data solutions with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, CloudWatch etc.
- Design and implement of data pipelines and ETL processes to support operational needs.
- Develop and improve the operational excellence, data quality, monitoring and data governance.
- Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments.
A day in the life
An average day may look like:- Attend daily standup to give status updates
- Develop ML and data platform and get feedback from other engineers.
- Learn about a new data engineer technology and AWS services

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- 3+ years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines and BI tools.
- Experience with cloud-based big data technology stacks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, SageMaker, DynamoDB etc.)
- Knowledge of data management and data storage principles.
- Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL.
- Ability to write code in Python for data processing.
- Business level English (written and verbal)
- Business level in Japanese language (verbal and written).
