This leadership role is responsible for providing safe andquality test services; demonstrating test ownership; aligning test resourcesand driving test execution and performance to meet customer requirements;developing our test resources and capabilities; and driving standard work ofthe test methodology, equipment, process, and practices. Thisleadership role will manage/oversee the day-to-day test operations of the testengineering organization in Tempe which includes test engineers, programmanagers, engineering support specialist, andtechnicians. This role has 36 direct reports and coordinatesclosely with the MT Tempe test operations supervisor to execute test servicesfor customers. In addition, this leadership role will act as theoverall site’s senior MT leader and will be a member of the Tempe EngineeringSite Leadership Council.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure a safe working environment throughout the lab.
- Hire, performance manage, and develop test team members
- Develop test vision and drive strategies to execute vision to meet our customers’ needs.
- Drive test ownership and accountability culture within the test team
- Manage expenses, capital, and test program non-recurring engineering costs within allocated budgets.
- Lead team to generate test cost estimates, schedules, proposals, procedures and reports.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering - Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 8 years minimum of applied engineering experience in the Aerospace, manufacturing or comparable engineering environment.
- 3 years minimum of management experience managing group of 10 or more technical professionals and/or test technicians or similar organizations.
- Electromechanical experience
