We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be tackling complex, high-impact problems while developing, improving, and maintaining secure, scalable, high-performing systems. These systems should be low-maintenance and require minimal long-term sustaining and development. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies and solutions that span across multiple domains, offering ample opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow.
Key job responsibilities
* You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new software with existing systems, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met.
* You will work with a wide variety of technologies and projects that range from third party enterprise solutions to open source and proprietary inventions.
* You will develop automation scripts to streamline system processes, deployment workflows, and system monitoring tasks.
* You will create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, design diagrams, and implementation guides. Prepare regular reports on system performance and issues.
* We value security, performance, simplicity, and scalability in our designs. In your day-to-day work you will focus on automation of complex tasks to allow our business to scale with customer demand.
* Continuously monitor system performance, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability through optimizations.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in systems engineering and software development to recommend improvements to current processes and solutions.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
