    Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for AI, Cloud, High Performance Computing (HPC), Edge computing devices and enterprise networking, server and storage products. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

    What you’ll achieve

    As a Senior PrincipalMechanical Engineer, you will be a vital member of our cross-functional engineering team and instrumental in delivering advanced liquid cooling solutions for AI, HPC and enterprise server markets. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the mechanical design of liquid cooling components, ensuring the creation of innovative and highly reliable solutions.

    You will:

    • Lead the mechanical design of critical components for liquid cooling solutions
    • Establish design targets and requirements
    • Develop and evaluate strategies and new design concepts to solve future challenges
    • Evaluate design performance through stages of development utilizing analysis and testing
    • Drive collaboration across diverse teams

    Essential Requirements

    • 12+ years industry experience or equivalent skill; must include 8+ years’ experience in pressure vessel design or equivalent skill
    • Expertise in pressure vessel design to include structural analysis, construction methodologies, design for manufacturability and material requirements
    • Experience predicting and validating pressure handling performance of a design
    • Creative with strong mechanical intuition and aptitude

    Desirable Requirements

    • Experience with liquid cooling and FEA modeling
    • BS Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)

    Compensation

    Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $131,750 - $170,500
