Position: Application Engineering Consultant

Wilsonville OR or Fremont CA (with US support responsibilities)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Computational Lithography, establishing a “trusted advisor” relationship with leading customers and partners.
  • Software Development: Collaborate with the product team to develop software prototypes addressing computational lithography and advanced mask challenges using Python/TCL, Calibre API, and the Calibre DRC/OPC Platform.
  • Technical Presentations and Training: Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions on Calibre OPC/MPC Platforms.
  • Customer Engagement and Support: Drive the adoption, proliferation, and successful production deployment of Calibre products from design through mask production. Provide support to our leading-node customers in US and Europe.
  • Engage with Cutting-Edge Technology: Work with both advanced technology nodes.
  • Innovate and Implement: Test, customize, and deploy new features in collaboration with the product team.
  • Showcase Value: Demonstrate our product’s capabilities and contribute to sales initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Applied Math, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience. Alternatively, a Master’s degree with over 8 years of industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in simulation, software prototyping, software development, and machine learning is desired.
  • Programming Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TCL, or C/C++ is desired.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a self-motivated curiosity about AI and advanced semiconductor manufacturing are required. Knowledge of photolithography, including optics, resist modeling, mask synthesis, mask and wafer metrology and inspection is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills are essential, as this role involves direct interaction with customers.
  • Teamwork and Attitude: Strong team player with a can-do attitude and a strong sense of ownership.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
