Job Description:
This role also leads the overall technical vision to create complex distributed solutions. Provide strategic guidance ensuring technology teams and business areas understand the architectural options and technology choices that account for total cost of ownership; establishing a common language and visualizations for designs. Advises on foundational solution patterns, principles and constraints across the product-based org that align to the overall enterprise technology strategy, roadmap, and architectural goals.
- Top technical individual contributor role with accountability to guide technology selection through expert knowledge of the catalogue of technology stacks and practices associated with platforms, programming, languages and tools, as well as advanced business acumen and understanding of broader organization issues and relevant technology
- Accountable for the overall Architecture portfolio, roadmap and definition in the product-based org for their respective journey or platform
- Responsible for strategic decisions for the Architecture practice within a platform or journey, escalating as appropriate
- Sets collaboration framework and create solution prototypes for providing Architecture advice and guidance to the product-based org
- Controls solution and development, regulatory and compliance for complex system landscapes (e.g., hybrid, multi-cloud, edge workloads)
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred)
- 10-15+ years relevant experience developing a variety of platforms
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and / or Test-Driven Development is an asset (i.e., ability to author Unit, Integration and Functional Tests)
- Demonstrated experience with leading technical tools integration in a complex environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in TOGAF 9 or 10;
- Financial experience and capital markets experience.
- Proficiency and Certification in GCP and GKE or Azure.
- Solid understanding of data and analytics principles and methodologies.
- Experience implementing foundational cloud services (networking, security,account/organizations,logging & monitoring, identity access management, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience in software development using languages such as Java, Python, C++, Go, or Ruby.
- Experience in large-scale migration of application workloads from on-prem or collocated data centers to a cloud platform.
- Experience working with GCP, AWS, Azure, and private cloud compute, storage, micro-service applications, platform serverless frameworks, API gateway, CI/CD, and cloud-based services.
- Experience implementing cloud controls, security, monitoring technologies, as well as hands-on experience instrumenting alerts based on aggregated logs and analytics output and audit services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Experience managing container orchestrated workloads such as Kubernetes/Docker.
- Experience developing DevOps, Site Reliability, and Solutions Architecture methodologies and practices.
Customer Accountabilities:
- Play a key role in aligning internal and external stakeholders on the architecture / infrastructure aspect of the product strategy and delivery roadmap, communicating with and actively engaging with the Executive Product Owner in achieving the strategy
- Lead on architecture backlog prioritization activities; advising on business / technology trade-offs
- Oversee portfolio of Product-based Delivery Work
- Review, approve / veto blueprints relative to enterprise standards. Advise on how best to design overall solutions
- Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement emerging end-to-end IT trends, developments and improvements / solutions (buy / build / reuse) through leadership of projects and contributing to segment-specific leadership committee insights focusing on overall operational steering for architecture
- Collaborate broadly with other practitioners, including marketing teams and engineers, to ensure the right look and necessary features for the products / projects and applications within assigned portfolio. Actively engages with the Practice on upskilling and building team capability
- The role may oversee a small team, and is responsible for coaching on knowledge, skills and performance, building and evolving the practice's capabilities
- Steer the process and connects partners in the creation of consumable assets that leverage and integrate proven reference architecture designs and patterns to select from many methodologies and steer the team beyond the theoretical in order to get the architecture tested and into production
- Hold decision rights onArchitecture-specificstrategies and owns policies, roles and responsibilities within assigned Platform or Journey for the technology roadmap to ensure alignment with enterprise guidelines now and as the design evolves to meet future needs
- Oversee and advise on the design of technology applications and/or infrastructure on high profile, complex and/or high-risk technology projects with significant impact to the organization, playing an active role in the process of developing, customizing and integrating systems
- Drive continual upgrading based on an integrated perspective on existing gaps and opportunities for service / system development across the technology stacks and grounds the team in assessing practical concerns to evolve features

Shareholder Accountabilities:
- Sets service-level objectives (SLO) and exercise key decision rights of the FSA role
- Focuses on reliability, scalability, and the development of the architectural infrastructure; including highly complex and scalable systems
- Develops observability standards to ensure that production systems operate under known conditions and transparently provides these measurements to anticipate when errors or failures can arise.
- Leads interaction with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory / operational risk, compliance and audit) to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues related to architectural technology and tools
- Leads or contributes to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for significant and complex situations
- Monitors and reports on the status of the products / projects and applications within assigned product, ensuring projects are compliant with technology domain architecture, and designs / operates processes to provide ongoing review of in-progress activity against technology architecture and development standards
- Foresees architectural issues / gaps and identifies emerging industry trends to recommend value-added architectural improvements that will alleviate technology debt and build resilient solutions
- Maps processes and sub-processes that bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions
- Keeps track of changes made to code through control systems
- Collaborates within practices, platforms or journeys comprised of diverse and complementary skills; inspiring the team to embrace changes and continually advance collective knowledge of technical tools / trends
- Protects the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary
- Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
