As a Software QA Manager III (QAM) within the Amazon Key team, you will work closely with the Product Management, Software Development Engineering, Hardware Engineering, User Experience Design, and Customer Support groups to understand the product vision, requirements and customer usage models and develop appropriate test strategies.Key job responsibilities
- Working with product, hardware, TPM, and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
- Understanding how all elements of the software ecosystem work together and developing QA approaches that fit the overall project strategy
- Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
- Overseeing the development and execution of test plans, monitoring and reporting on test execution and quality metrics
- Design and develop comprehensive test automation strategies and improve QA efficiency
- Lead the Bug triage, Go/No Go meetings
- Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness.
- Supervise and Coach QA engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and ensuring adherence to best practicesA day in the life
- 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience managing manual testers
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience managing automation testers
- Experience testing web technologies and back-end services
- Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
- Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation
